    Day 1: Depart USA

    Depart the U.S. on your flight to Tanzania..

    Day 2: Arrive Tanzania

    Upon arrival to Kilimanjaro International Airport, a Carnivores Safaris representative will meet you outside the airport and take you to the hotel. Check in at hotel, situated on a 30acre active coffee farm along the outskirts of Arusha. The Africanstyle chalets are ideally positioned facing the coffee farm, and each has a private deck with an amazing view of the ancient indigenous trees found in large numbers on the farm. Please note: This is an arrival day and no meals are included.

    Day 3: Tarangire National Park

    After checking out of the hotel and loading the safari vehicles, begin the drive to Tarangire National Park, located less than two hours' drive southwest of Arusha and often overlooked due to its proximity to the more famous Serengeti National Park. But despite its "forgotten" status, Tarangire is second only to the Serengeti in terms of concentration of wildlife in Tanzania, offering a spectacular safari experience often with less visitor traffic. Wildlife travel long distances to arrive at Tarangire River, which snakes through the park, as it's the area's only permanent river. With protected lands covering 1,096 square miles, the park is home to a large variety of game such as wildebeests, elephants, zebras, gazelles, elands, gerenuks, lions and leopards. Extensive grasslands dotted with the occasional acacia or baobab tree provide the optimum conditions for viewing wild animals. Spend the day exploring the park, from Silalei Swamp to Little Serengeti and the Tarangire River bed, to view the resident and migratory wildlife. Game drive and lunch in the park.

    Day 5: Cultural Experience

    Early this morning, after breakfast depart to a very authentic local Maasai village to observe the community members in their daily morning rituals. Then proceed to local school called Lucas Mhina primary school which 95% are Masai kids schooling here to find out what a typical school day is like in Tanzania. We'll interact with teachers and students and sit in on classes. Best of all...we won't have any tests or homework! Then proceed to Mto wa Mbu village. During your walk through the village, you will be able to observe the way of life in this rural community and enjoy lunch prepared by a local family with an explanation of the different culinary delights and how they are made, After Lunch depart for Ngorongoro Crater arrive at the lodge in time for sunset. World Heritage Site and often called the 8th Wonder of the World, Ngorongoro is a sunken caldera, 10 by 12 miles in diameter. Animals are found throughout the year due to the permanent availability of grass and water. Ngorongoro is one of the most spectacular game haunts in Africa, and contains an impressive variety of wildlife including black mane lion, the highly endangered black rhino; herds of wildebeest, zebra, elephant, and hippo, we’ll enjoy a picnic in the crater floor Overnight; Lions Paw.

    Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

    Today after breakfast drive to Ngorongoro Crater-World Heritage Site and often called the 8th Wonder of the World for the morning game drive, among one of the most unique concentrations of wildlife on earth. Vast grasslands cover most of the crater floor and provide ample grazing for resident zebras, gazelles, wildebeest, elephants, warthogs, and rhinos. With a large number of prey species contained within the crater, it is not surprising that Ngorongoro is also home to a dense population of lions. During your game drive you will enjoy a picnic lunch then in the afternoon drive back to the lodge in time for sunset

    Day 7: Olduvai Gorge to Serengeti National Park

    After breakfast we depart to Serengeti National Park- Tanzania’s most renowned national park, the Serengeti. Home to the greatest concentration of large mammals on Earth, the migratory herds of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle roam widely in search of green grass and water. En route stop at Olduvai Gorge. Nicknamed the "Cradle of Mankind," this famous anthropological site is located on a steepsided ravine, approximately 30 miles long and 295 ft. deep. During an informative onsite lecture, discover the accomplishments of Drs. Louis and Mary Leakey, archaeologists who excavated key hominid fossils that provided significant understanding of the course of human evolution. Exposed deposits show fossils and remains of objects dating as far back as 2 million to 15,000 years ago. Lunch at the gorge. After Lunch proceed to Serengeti National Park with on route game drive-arrive in time at the Camp for sunset.

    Day 8: Serengeti National Park

    Today early in the morning 6am depart with picnic breakfast to visit one of the best hippo pools- arrive in time to see hippos coming back to the water after the whole night of grazing, breakfast at the hippo pool picnic site then proceed with wildlife viewing near Seronera River which provides an important water source and therefore attracts a lot of wildlife- This area is the best for Carnivores like lions, leopards, cheatahrs hyaenas, as well as Elephants, Giraffes and other animal. Back to the Camp for lunch then followed by few hrs of relaxing and followed by afternoon game drive includes sun downer.
    Overnight: Land of Nature Safari Camp.

  • 9 and 10

    Day 9 and 10: Wildlife viewing in Northern Serengeti National Park

    These two days we will move to Northern Serengeti National Park on the border between Kenya and Tanzania near Mara River where this time of year between August and October the wildebeest and Zebra migration will be with possibility of seeing wildebeest mara River Crossing, we will spend 2 nights here exploring Northern Serengeti National Park. Best place for Crocodiles, Hippos, Cats as well as Millions of Wildebeest and Zebras crossing Mara River
    Overnight: Maramara Tented Lodge
    Optional: Balloon ride in the Northern Serengeti $620pp.

    Day 11: -Arusha-Home (Fly home from Kilimanjaro International Airport-Tanzania)

    After a morning leisurely breakfast drive to Kogatende airstrip while doing on route game drive and arrive in time for 1.5hrs flight to Arusha, Lunch in Arusha followed by day room use then proceed to Kilimanjaro international Airport for flight back home.
